What we'll talk about
Taking care of a child is special. It is wonderful. And it can also be draining.
Particularly if you find yourself lacking support, time, energy, resources.
It’s hard for any parent, but international parents can often feel even more isolated, far from helping hands.
Something that can feel reassuring and comforting is to feel that you are not alone.
Sharing our concerns, our open questions, our joys and sorrows is important.
Sharing our thoughts with others can help us be able to care and to hold space for our children.
In this workshop, we will take the time to check in with ourselves, share how we feel
or the questions we might have about caring for our children. We will take a moment
to brainstorm and share ideas for resources and help. But most of all, show each other
that we are not alone in caring and doing our very best to help our children develop and thrive.
At the end of this session, we hope you leave feeling supported and with a few practical exercises to centre you in difficult moments.
